Note to folks who are unaware of U.S. Laws: America's got this crazy law where you have to be 21 or older to purchase alcohol. Yeah, we know. Don't rub it in.

Since they technically share the same body, does drinking as Billy count?
Kupocake 10th Sep 2013, 10:18 AM Reply
Kupocake
Considering Carl never experiences anything BIlly does, that would be a no. That would also mean Billy is committing alcohol-based crimes for drinking as a one-and-a-half year old!

Isn't dog years like 7 human years for 1 dog year? I guess that'd make Billy 10 years old...

Noooooo.

A couple words of advice: take it slow, don't drink the whole drink in one go, and Pepto-Bismol is your best friend.

Kupocake 11th Sep 2013, 10:37 AM Reply

Well technically shots should be done in one gulp, but I don't recommend shots being your first alcohol experience!

Jk, I actually really like the last panel! For the character you've made and the situation he's in, its just perfect. Especially to end a page on too. Great work!

I think Carl use to have some very close to him named William (nick names Billy) and that he died. And the trauma make is werewolf side took his identity. I'm thinking more about a twin brother that was it's complete opposit, wich would explain why "Billy" is so different from the real Carl. And also why he made such a sad face page 66 when he said: "I need a nap. And a long shower" after Dude confirming to him that he had an "alter-ego" named "Billy". He seemed pretty much on the burst to cry at that moment.

Not to say I dont have my vices, but they are legal, unless I do it in public, but thats old hat...joking! but about which part? hmmmm

Drinking heavily isn't all that great! But, having a drink or two to "loosen up" is actually quite pleasant and can be fun. I always just drink enough to stay comfortable and I avoid getting piss-drunk.

But I end up being the designated driver for my friends anyway.

I've found that drinking in the company of friends results in so much talking that each drink lasts ages (obviously not shots), so we actually hardly get drunk at all since we're consuming alcohol at almost the same rate the liver processes it.
This may not work if you're not as overly loquacious as me...

My parents have a framed photo of the first time they let me try some watered-down white wine (I was about seven). They love this photo, because it shows me pulling an incredible face - I have never seen anyone look more completely and utterly revolted in my life, and neither have my parents judging by how proud they are of this photo.
Wine is still very much not my drink of choice.

Carl: I do not drink with people...that is...that is my least favorite thing to do.
Dude: Tell me, Carl, what exactly you were doing before I came home.
Carl: Alright...well, I was in this room...
Dude: Okay?
Carl: I was uh...sitting in my bunk...
Dude: Yes...?
Carl: Reading a book...
Dude: Go on...
Carl: And uh...well, you walked in...
Dude: Okay?
Carl: So I creeped up on you
Dude: Yes...
Carl: And I...I got defensive when you mentioned drinking with me.
Dude: CAAAAAARRRRRLLL that's how you get to know people!
Carl: Oh, well, I didn't know that.
Dude: How could you not know that?
Carl: Yeah, I'm not in the wrong here. You suck!
Dude: What is wrong with you, Carl?
Carl: Well, I creep on people and turn into a werewolf, that's two things.

Lol, had to be done. :-D

Hey there! I just read through your archive, and I'm really loving this story so far! I can't wait to see where it goes.

Also, if Billy gets super drunk, does Carl wake up with the resulting hangover?
Kupocake 17th Sep 2013, 10:05 AM Reply

The actual drunkness doesn't transfer to Carl at all, but he does wake up in a hangover-like state regardless of whether Billy drank or not. Werewolf transformations are tricky business! :U

Also thanks for reading through! I'm glad you like it so far. : D
